About the event

We are delighted to welcome you to the Detox Movement’s  Detox Supper Club taking place in St Peter’s Church, De Beauvoir,  East London on 6th January 2023, 7-10pm, where you can expect to indulge in a relaxing and nourishing evening of yoga, breath-work, meditation, nutrition and amazing food and enjoy a taste of our longer detox events. These get-togethers also offer you the opportunity to meet and mingle with like-minded people, learn more about your health and enjoy an amazing plant-based meal.

These evenings focus on a range of topics including gut health, longevity, brain health, better sleep and how to boost the immune system - something we all need to support and improve - with talks from, and a menu designed by nutrition guru, author, and natural chef Åsa Simonsson.  A delicious supper especially designed to support these systems will be served and you will also learn about powerful naturopathic protocols that can easily be practised at home to support your long-term health.

The yoga practice will be therapeutic and you will learn and experience simple techniques to support your wellbeing through movement, breathwork and meditation. These sessions will be led by international yoga teacher, Lisa Dunn.

For this Supper Club we will focus on sleep-hygiene  and good brain health. Perhaps you feel tired or even exhausted after the festive season and in need of a little boost. This evening will be the perfect evening with sleep and brain supporting foods, nutritional sleep and brain talk as well as yoga to support. Many of us do not get enough sleep and if we do it may be sleep that gets interrupted and without proper restorative deep sleep and REM sleep. Without enough sleep we are unable to live our life to the full. Nothing works well without a good night's sleep. We will equip you with knowledge and practical lifestyle tips to help you sleep better as well as sharpening your mind.

The evening will start with a supportive welcome drink and nibbles followed by an hour of delicious gentle stretching and movement for an all-levels yoga class especially designed to support your brain and to improve your sleep.

Dinner will be a plant based, gluten free and sugar free spread, prepared therapeutically to support and nourish you.

After dinner you can relax and digest whilst watching a food preparation demo by Åsa as well as a talk on how to support yourself with nutrition and naturopathy and stay healthy for the rest of the year.

You will leave replete with knowledge, nourishing food and relaxing movement.

Evening Schedule

7pm – Drinks and Nibbles and intro to the Detox Movement with Lisa and Asa

7.30 – Brain healthy Yoga and breath-work with Lisa

8.15 – Sleep and Brain supporting Dinner

9pm – Health supporting talk and demo and cake

10pm – Home time + goodie bag
